Visit from Kiel

On March 7, a delegation from the state capital Kiel also visited the tree nursery in Himo.

The delegation had a full schedule during their visit to Kiel's partner municipality, Moshi District.

In addition to official visits with representatives of the Moshi District Council, the inauguration of a pedestrian bridge to the Mary Bennett Health Center was on the agenda on March 6. This bridge gives even more residents the opportunity to reach the health center. ➔ The health station has been financially supported by the state capital of Kiel for many years.

On March 7, the delegation visited the Himo Tree Nursery. City mayor Bettina Aust (third from left) learned about the work in and for the tree nursery. ➔ The Himo Tree Nursery is also financially supported by the state capital of Kiel.

There was also a sweet gift for the delegation members. The Executive Director of Moshi District Council, Shadrack Mhagama, presented Bettina Aust with a jar of honey produced by the tree nursery.

Incidentally, the hoods and headgear are mandatory, as hygiene is also essential in honey production.
