Projekt Old kitchen with a new look

It has now been 5 years since the tree nursery has been active again. In all this time, it has been impossible to provide lunch for the workers. But from the very beginning there was the idea of reactivating this old kitchen building from the previous project period.

.Donations for the renovation were available. A lucky coincidence then brought us Jannik, an architecture student, who volunteered at the tree nursery for 3 months at the end of 2021. Jannik made contact with the local craftsmen and supervised the construction.

A new roof and a veranda as an extension give the old building a whole new charm.

Last but not least, a rain gutter is installed and a 1000 liter tank is purchased to collect the precious rainwater.

Thanks to further donations, we are now able to pay a cook and offer the workers a hot meal every day.

In this way, we satisfy hunger, promote the community and offer a new workplace. We need further financial support so that we can continue to provide satisfied workers in the future.
